Unlocking the Power of Hormones, Heredity, and Hope

Hormones are Going to Change,

"Genes Load the Gun, But We Don't Have to Pull the Trigger" If we KNOW them, we CAN OPTIMIZE them.

With over 40 years of experience in critical care, integrative health, and hormone optimization, I am passionate about achieving hormone and metabolite balance for my clients. As an Anti-Aging Health Provider certified through A4M and currently studying Advanced Metabolic Endocrinology, I blend cutting-edge diagnostic testing with personalized treatment plans covering hormones, lipedema, metabolic health, and epigenetics.

My Personal Journey

When I was 29, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At 42, I underwent a total abdominal hysterectomy due to fibroids. My daughter had surgery for severe endometriosis at 21, developed fibroids by 32, and was diagnosed with adenomyosis.
We both struggled with LIPEDEMA. These are all issues of faulty estrogen detoxification.

For years, it felt like our bodies were fighting against us—until I discovered that our genes weren't our destiny. In reality, our bodies weren't working against us; they were trying to communicate something crucial before it was too late.

I'm here today not just as a health provider, but as a mother, a survivor, and a woman who's navigated the complexities of hormone-driven diseases—my daughter and I have lived in the trenches of these issues—and both have emerged stronger with the tools to help others do the same.

Understanding the Connection

LIPEDEMA, fibroids, endometriosis, hormonal weight gain, and fatigue aren't isolated conditions. They're deeply interconnected issues and if you are high risk for one, you are most likely high risk for others. Lipedema is often misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and minimized. We are gas-lighted. "You need to move more, exercise more, eat less. "This is absolutely not true with Lipedema.

At the core of our issues? Hormones and a genetic polymorphism, Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase (MTHFR).

Research shows that LIPEDEMA occurs with stress and hormonal changes, including those caused by synthetic contraception—but few explain why. As my client, I will guide you through this understanding and OPTIMIZE EACH STAGE.

Your body doesn't have to remain a mystery.

Hormone Optimization Across Life Stages

I specialize in OPTIMIZING people, to navigate and balance hormones to regain control of health—physically, mentally, and emotionally. From puberty to pre-menopause (yes, starting early, if symptoms present, in order to prevent issues) to peri- and post-menopause, our hormones constantly change, affecting our overall wellness.

Hormones like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, melatonin, leptin, ghrelin, insulin, and glucagon act as powerful messengers in our bodies. When balanced, We feel energized, focused, and vibrant. The cells and mitochondria of our body are getting and giving the right messages, clear and concise!

When these messages are disrupted—due to stress, poor sleep, genetic predispositions, —some of the messages are blocked. These issues push all other hormones! We experience changes in weight, mood, energy, and even fat distribution. All hormones are affected. This is particularly evident with LIPEDEMA, Why? Because estrogen, when off-balance due to these issues, or gene variants like MTHFR, COMT, can drive fibrosis, inflammation, and abnormal fat accumulation. Let's find YOUR Metabolic Block.

The Power of Epigenetics: HOPE

Epigenetics is HOPE.
We don't need to fear our genes; we need to OPTIMIZE them.

Epigenetics shows us that our genes aren't a life sentence. We can influence gene expression through lifestyle choices—what we eat, how we manage stress, when we sleep, how we move, and/or a simple supplement.

The treatment for MTHFR is straightforward, easy-peasy. Within two weeks of starting my treatment, I felt transformed. My brain fog lifted. My energy returned. It marked the beginning of a new chapter, with proper methylation at the cellular level being key.

My Approach to Care

In my practice, I work with clients across all life stages:

  • Puberty: Teaching teens to honor their cycles, nourish their bodies, and recognize early symptoms

  • Premenopause and Perimenopause: Supporting women who feel they're "losing themselves" amid shifting hormones

  • Post-Menopause: Helping women feel powerful, not invisible, in this new phase of life

We focus on balancing:

  • Estrogen, progesterone, and their metabolites for mood, metabolism, energy, and weight management

  • Testosterone for strength and libido

  • Cortisol and melatonin for stress regulation and sleep quality

  • Leptin, ghrelin, insulin, and glucagon for weight regulation

  • Epigenetic factors to ensure proper methylation and detoxification

  • Hypothyroid, we find metabolic blockers. There is more than one way to be Hypothyroid!

All of this is grounded in supporting a healthy circadian rhythm—because how and when we sleep affects everything.

Your Path Forward

We all live with stress, learning how to optimize the diurnal cortisol curve, the circadian rhythm, with morning habits and sleep hygiene, and manage stress, will help OPTIMIZE YOU!

Hormones are going to change, this is inevitable, but we get to choose to maintain balance as we meet each change and challenge.

Yes, we may inherit genes that increase our risk for conditions like lipedema, cancer, or hormonal imbalances. But we also inherit the power to make daily choices that influence how those genes behave.

You can rewrite your story. You can transform your health. I did. My daughter did. And you can too. Let's choose to OPTIMIZE!!

Let’s stop accepting suffering as normal. Let’s stop dismissing symptoms as "just aging" or "just hormones." Let’s start owning our biology—with science, self-love, and the belief that it’s never too late to feel vibrant again.

Testimonials

What My Customers Say

Real stories. Real results.

I am beyond grateful for Carla and the wisdom she has shared on my journey to better health. When I met her, I had resigned myself to aging like every woman in my family had—slowly declining in health and vitality until heart disease inevitably ended my life. But one evening, this vibrant woman, 20 years my senior, effortlessly performed a perfect Halasana on my living room floor. In that moment, she didn’t just turn herself upside down—she flipped my entire perspective on aging.

As a friend, Carla has been an incredible source of knowledge and inspiration—never pushing, always guiding with expertise and compassion. Through our conversations, I’ve gained invaluable insights into bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, the benefits of GLP-1 medications, and the complexities of lipedema. She has a unique way of breaking down these topics in a way that’s both practical and empowering, completely shifting my approach to health and wellness.

Because of her encouragement, I have taken proactive steps toward optimizing my well-being, making informed choices, and embracing a more balanced, sustainable approach to health. Her passion for helping others live their best lives is contagious, and I am grateful to be one of the many who have benefited from her knowledge.

Thanks to Carla’s guidance, I AM OPTIMIZED—and I couldn’t have done it without her inspiration!
